“318 Men's Training” is based on the principles in Genesis 14:14, where Abraham sent 318 men trained in his own house to fight for and rescue Lot and his people. Not only did he rescue Lot’s household, but all of Sodom that was taken captive by a neighboring King. Lot represents our brethren who have been taken captive according to Hosea 4:6 that says, My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall not be a priest to me. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will forget your children.
‘…and when Abraham heard that his brethren were taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, 318, and pursued them to Dan. – Gen. 14:14.
The principle here is that we as the new priesthood should be trained and disciplined in the Word of God in our Father’s house, the house of God. We should be well-rounded and established; mature in the scriptures and in our relationship with God. This is the purpose of the established Church. Ephesians 4:11-15 – ‘And He gave some, apostles; some, prophets; some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting (maturing) of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is head, even Christ. Then we will be well able to take the land and recover our brethren taken captive by the gods of this age.
Apostle Brandon, with God’s help, is establishing 318 Men’s groups wherever he goes. These groups consist of mature men of God ministering to other men the principles of God as they apply in real life situations. The 318 group gives men an opportunity to share experiences, pain, and situations they often keep inside of them. It provides the benefit of mature love and the application of the scriptures broken down; bringing understanding, solutions to problems, deliverance, and healing with the hope of expectation of a better life.
Malachi 4:5-6 says ‘Behold, I will bring you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.’ Until the fathers turn, the children cannot. So we focus on the fathers. When we restore the men, we restore the family, the community, and our nations.
